Mew Mew Power is formed after five teenage girls are infused with the DNA of endangered species. This interesting story begins with Ichigo Momomiya, a young and curious teenage girl attends an endangered species exhibit and gets infused with the DNA of a wild Mountain Cat after a sudden earthquake. Ichigo and four other girls are bathed in a strange bright light. A cat appears before Ichigo and takes the chance to merges with her. The very next day she starts to act like a cat. Later on, she came to know that she was infused with the DNA of the Iriomote Cat which enables her to transform into Mew Ichigo, a heroic animal filled with super powers. She is instructed to defeat chimera animas- they are dangerous alien parasites, which infect animals and turn them into monsters. Gathering up her 4 other friends, they bravely fought off evil aliens and protect the World from the danger of an alien invasion. Together, these courageous teenagers use their animal instincts and supernatural powers to protect the earth and fought off alien parasites who want to rule the World.
